The Becoming Collection preserves two of the most fleeting chapters of early parenthood : the anticipation of pregnancy and the tenderness of those first days with your baby.

The First Year
THE COMPLETE FIRST-YEAR STORY

And then, we keep telling the story. The First Year Collection includes every chapter of your journey into parenthood — maternity, birth and those fleeting first days — followed by a family session at six months or one year.
Because the story doesn't end when your baby arrives. We capture the growing, changing, laughing and loving that happens throughout their first year, creating a collection of photographs that tells the story of your family from the very beginning and beyond.
What’s included in every session
All sessions include a relaxed, unhurried photoshoot lasting 60 minutes or a bit longer, with gentle guidance throughout. You will receive a generous, story-driven gallery of hand-edited images (typically 60–100), delivered digitally for easy viewing and sharing, as well as 15 professionally printed photographs. Travel is included within my local area, with additional travel charged at R5 per kilometre.

Once we've connected and discussed your photography needs, the next step is to set a date for your session!
We'll coordinate a day and time that works best for you and your loved ones, taking into account the perfect lighting and setting for your desired shoot. Whether it's an outdoor location or the comfort of your home, we'll ensure the timing is ideal to capture those authentic, beautiful moments.

Enjoy your session
Now comes the fun part, your photography session! On the day of your shoot, all you need to do is relax and enjoy the experience.
I’ll guide you through the session, creating a comfortable and fun atmosphere where you can just be yourselves. Whether it’s playful moments with your little ones, intimate interactions with your partner, or those quiet, tender moments of motherhood, I’ll be there to capture it all.
My goal is to make you feel at ease, so the session feels natural and effortless, resulting in photos that truly reflect your family's unique connection and joy.
Receive your online gallery and prints
Within four to six weeks, you'll receive a beautifully curated online gallery showcasing the highlights from your session. You can view, share, and download your favourite images from the comfort of your home.
Additionally, as part of the Auburn Photography experience, you’ll receive stunning, high-quality prints to treasure forever. These tangible keepsakes will allow you to relive those special moments, whether displayed in your home or shared with loved ones.
Every detail is handled with care, ensuring you get to enjoy both digital and printed memories for years to come.
FAQ
How many pictures will we receive?
You will receive between 60 - 100 high-resolution digital images in a curated online gallery. In addition, I provide 15 of your personally selected physical prints as a special keepsake, so you can enjoy your favourite moments in a tangible way.
When will we receive our gallery?
I aim to deliver your gallery within four to six weeks after your session. If there are any changes to this timeline, I’ll be sure to communicate with you right away. My goal is to make sure you receive your beautiful images as soon as possible!
When will we receive our physical prints?
Once you've selected your favorite images through your online gallery, your physical prints will be delivered to you within a week. I’ll make sure to keep you updated throughout the process so you know exactly when to expect them!
Do you use props?
I don't provide any props, but you are more than welcome to bring your own!
Do you have a studio?
I don’t have a dedicated studio as my style is focused on more relaxed outdoor or at home shoots.
What should we wear for our session?
For your session, I want you to feel comfortable and confident! I have a comprehensive session guide that covers everything, including outfit suggestions, location tips, and how to make the most of your experience. I'll send it over to you ahead of time so you’ll be fully prepared for the day. If you have any specific questions or need help with outfit ideas, I'm always happy to assist!
